SW3 Bespoke has been on the horizon for some time. their fall 2012 collection was delicious and they had the same gung-ho attitude for spring! (fall I haven’t gotten my hands on)
SW3 Bespoke, a women’s advanced contemporary collection bringing London styling to American fashion, announces the launch of its spring 2013 collection. Produced in the United States but inspired by the founding partners’ London roots, SW3 Bespoke presents a collection that features simple huges, creatively patterned trousers and elegant, form-fitting maxi skirts. Designer Julia Chase, inspired by the rock ‘n roll and bohemian cool of her London childhood in the late sixties and early seventies, blends just the right amount of the bohemian and rocker with sleek femininity.
SW3 Bespoke is the brain-child of Creative Director Julia Chase, President and Marketing Director John Lankshear, and Sales Director Sylvana Lankshear. The trio brings together their collective knowledge of the fashion industry and combined roots in the bohemian style of sixties and seventies London to the internationally minded brand. Since SW3 Bespoke’s launch into the advanced contemporary market for fall 2011, the company has brought London styling to American fashion. Chase’s design process began with wardrobe staples from early memories ranging from Chelsea’s ultra-cool King’s Road to the visions of Biba designer Barbara Hulanicki.
“When we set out creating the collection, I really looked inward at what inspired the style of Sylvana, John and myself,” explains Chase, “I really tried to capture the essence of the time period we grew up in and give women some updates on classics.”
SW3 Bespoke’s President and Marketing Director, John Lankshear, brought his background in advertising and branding to the family-owned company. “It is such fun to be putting these years of collected knowledge toward our own brand,” says Lankshear. His wife, and Chase’s sister, Sylvana Lankshear, brings years of expertise with her bi-coastal wholesale showroom, Focus, to SW3 Bespoke. “I am so happy to be working closely with my sister and to be a part of growing this exciting new line,” said Sylvana Lankshear. “As a sales rep, I truly see great potential in SW3 Bespoke.”
From neutral colored tops with interesting cutouts and texture to bohemian formfitting maxis, to creatively patterned peg leg and wide leg trousers, there is a subtle homage to the ‘London Cool’ aesthetic in each SW3 Bespoke collection. SW3 Bespoke retails from $49 to $175 and is available nationwide.
